Our Story

The founding of Blue Ocean Reinsurance Group in early 2024 brought together three seasoned professionals with complementary skills. Graham Mackay, a former CEO in the reinsurance industry, brought a wealth of technical knowledge and operational experience, guiding the company’s strategic vision. Though no longer with Blue Ocean Graham was an integral part of its foundation. Adrian Lynch, with decades of commercial leadership and entrepreneurial success, ensures our business ethos is built on trust, client advocacy, and comprehensive relationship management. Ruwan Jayasekera, an expert in regulatory affairs and risk management, joined as a Partner, providing the regulatory rigor necessary to facilitate business growth while maintaining the highest standards.
